Hinkley Point C Connection Project

2017 – Ongoing

The Hinkley Point C Connection Project aims to connect the electricity generators currently under construction at Hinkley Point C to the national network to power infrastructure. To provide this additional capacity, the project will remove the existing 132,000 volt overhead electricity line owned by Western Power Distribution, and build a new 400,000 volt connection between Bridgwater and Seabank, near Avonmouth.

Geckoella are the site-based National Grid lead Ecological Clerk of Works for the Hinkley Point C Connection Project. Under contract to TEP, we audit the ECoW work carried out by the contractors on behalf of National Grid (2018-ongoing). The work follows ecological surveys carried out on behalf of National grid across the scheme length (2015, 2017-2018).
