Geckoella hosted it’s eagerly anticipated second Fossil Roadshow at East Quay this weekend. Attendees were encouraged to “dig out their fossil curios from the attic,” bringing in intriguing finds for expert evaluation by DrAndy King and DrDave Evans. The free event offered a hands‑on experience—ranging from personal fossil identification and expert talks to up‑close encounters with ammonites, corals, and other dinosaur‑era specimens. Visitors were delighted with extraordinary geological examples of local interest and pieces collected from around the world. Geckoella were pleased to connect with amateur geologists just starting out and with more established local collectors who had pieces of significant geological interest.

Visitors and their families were also treated by a free show in Watchet as the town synchronised in Geological interest with The Iguanodon Restaurant. This was an outdoor theatre show for all the family, set in and around a Victorian iguanodon by Emerald Ant and was a lovely addition to the day.
