Somerset Sea Watch celebrated 10 years of surveying for marine mammals in December 2023 with a survey from Watchet harbour wall and presentation on the remarkable long-term dataset, recording porpoises, dolphins, seals and even sunfish along the Somerset coast. This was followed by a delicious marine themed cake! The dataset will now help target conservation action in important areas for these species within the Severn Estuary. Geckoella is proud to support Sea Watch, Somerset Wildlife Trust and a dedicated team of volunteers in this valuable work, led by our very own Vanessa Lloyd.
