Coronavirus COVID-19 is now spreading in the UK and globally. Geckoella will do what we can to limit the spread of this highly contagious virus. The welfare of our team, clients, suppliers and the communities in which we live and work is paramount. The impacts of COVID-19 are increasingly serious. We all live and work in communities that include people who are potentially vulnerable to the effects of the virus, so we all need to take responsibility to help reduce its spread.
In terms of Geckoella’s day-to-day operations, we will be guided by the latest UK Government advice. Geckoella will carry out deskbased tasks as usual through homeworking. We will carry out essential fieldwork only, as long as this can be carried out with social distancing measures in place, and with minimal travel.
Geckoella is better placed than many organisations to achieve this. We are a ‘work from home’ organisation, and typically teleconference for meetings as standard practice. Many of our core fieldwork tasks can be carried out solo outdoors with minimal travel.
However, Government advice is changing fast and we will continue to issue updates as the situation develops.
