Congratulations to our own Josh Butterworth (Senior Ecologist) and Jamie Foster (Senior Geologist and Spatial Data Lead)! They just completed the intensive, three-day ‘Challenge of Science Leadership’ course in Oxford with flying colours. (It must be good, Managing Director Kate Jeffreys completed and recommended it!)
As an Employee-Owned business, our commitment is simple: invest in our people. This ensures our team’s scientific and business capacity is robust and adaptive, ready for any challenge.
The programme, hosted by The Barefoot Thinking Company, brought together an incredible group of STEM professionals, scientists and engineers, from all over the UK and from overseas. Over three days, Josh and Jamie sharpened skills essential for modern practice in the green economy, including:
- Optimising communication
- Strategic foresight
- Coaching and mentoring
- Efficient working
In a world facing rapid change and resource constraints, we need leaders who can nimbly navigate complexity and look after their team and clients. By accelerating their journey to science-led business leadership, Josh and Jamie are now even better equipped to apply our expertise to nature-recovery and other projects focused on nature-focused recovery.
We are proud to be investing in our people to be the environmental leaders this era demands, securing a healthier, more adaptable future for our planet! And many thanks to @Barefoot for putting together such a great course and to the other attendees for also contributing so much to the experience.
